GENERAL INFORMATION

Rent a Hat by Rose Collins is a luxury hat hire millinery brand offering a curated selection of designer hats and headpieces for special occasions, including weddings, races, and other formal events.
We are based in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, but we offer shipping and returns to customers across the United Kingdom.

HAT HIRE PROCESS

Simply browse our collection online, select your desired hat, and choose the hire dates. Add the item to your cart and proceed to checkout. We’ll take care of the rest!
Our standard hire period is between 4, 8 or 12 days except for the month of June where hire is allowed for 3 days only due to the extremely busy nature of the season. If you need the hat for a longer period, please contact us for custom arrangements.
Yes, you can visit our showroom by appointment to try on hats. If you are unable to visit, we offer a virtual consultation service to help you select the perfect hat.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Currently, Rent a Hat offers shipping within the United Kingdom only.
Hats are delivered via Royal Mail or other trusted couriers. They will be placed in secure, protective packaging to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. When your parcel is delivered you will be asked to sign for it as proof of receipt. If you are not there, a card will be dropped through your door stating how to get your parcel. PLEASE DO NOT USE BROWN TAPE or ANY TAPE DIRECTLY ON THE Rent a Hat BOXES (otherwise YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE COST OF THE HATBOX)

We ask that hats be returned by the date/time specified in your hire agreement. The customer bears the cost of returning the hat (using registered mail).  An address label  will be provided. Please ensure the hat and hat box is in the same condition as when received. Please DO NOT USE tape on the box

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Handle the hat with clean hands and store it in its original packaging when not in use. Avoid exposure to rain, excessive sunlight, and other damaging conditions

In case of damage, please inform us immediately. Minor wear and tear are covered by our service, but significant damage or loss will incur additional charges as per our hire agreement.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

We recommend booking at least a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, 8 -4 weeks during peak seasons like wedding months and race days.

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your hire.
Yes, a refundable deposit is required for all hires. This will be returned to you upon safe return of the hat in good condition. A refundable security deposit of 60% of the hire fee will be held whilst the hat is out of the studio. Please note: If the hat returns damaged or soiled, you will lose all or part of the money depending on the degree of damage.

Our Rent a Hat designs are off the peg.  Custom designs are for purchasing only.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 2 weeks prior – Full refund
  • 1 week prior – 50% refund
  • 2 days or less – No refund
